With over 9 year's experience in the industry, Keith joined W.Heron (Durham) Ltd in May of 1998, a business turning over circa 350K. His role at that time was assistant to the General Manager, covering all aspects of the business, including material distribution, estimating, valuations etc. 2000 saw the acquisition of Bartram Electrical Contractors, based in Washington, to create a true M & E company. Keith's desire to further himself bore fruition in July 2000, when the opportunity arose to head up the plumbing arm of the business. Today, the business forecasts a turnover of circa £5m and has secured continued workload over the next 5 years. This success was rewarded by a Directorship and shares in the business.
With over 29 years experience in the electrical contracting industry, Kirk Barclay began his working life in the family electrical business before he was approached by Terry Robson Ltd in 1983 where he gained experience in the full scope of the electrical industry. In 1997 Kirk was promoted to Contracts Manager in Robson Walker Ltd (which had formed in 1993 following the merger of Terry Robson Ltd and William Walker & Son) and then in 2002 became part of the Esh Group, ultimately in Bartram Walker Ltd. He continued to work based in the Hexham area where he developed and expanded the existing electrical business. With the increasing success of Bartram Walker, Kirk was offered a Directorship in January 2005.
Peter Watt has 23 years experience having begun his career aged 16 as an apprentice electrician working for W.M. Walker & Son (one of Bartram Walker’s founder companies).
After working for W.M. Walker and Son for 11 years, gaining considerable experience in a wide range of electrical installations, he became an estimator for a large Newcastle based electrical contractor. Following the merger of Terry Robson Ltd and W.M. Walker & Son, which created Robson Walker, Peter was offered the position of contracts supervisor and he progressed through the company becoming an estimator/contracts manager.
When the Esh Group acquired Robson Walker, Peter was initially relocated to Washington. In January 2003 he returned to Hexham to help drive forward and grow the electrical division of the newly renamed Bartram Walker.
Due to the success of Bartram Walker in Hexham he was appointed as Commercial Director in January 2005.
